While wandering through the Arboretum in Arcadia, CA I could here the kac-kac-kac of a juvenile Cooper’s Hawk so I’d set out to find him. At times it seems he’d be right over my head but I couldn’t see him. Other times I’d spot him but he’d be perched way too high up in a tree. A few times I managed to locate him where I could get a pretty good look.
