I had just packed up and started heading for the car after a morning of photographing Peregrine Falcons in San Pedro, CA. It seemed that the action was over for the day. On the walk back along the cliffside I peeked over the edge of a clearing and saw this female in the early stages of plucking a pigeon. You just never know.
