The lagoon was eerily quiet this morning as it was a week ago. The Black-crowned Night Herons have moved on. The number of combined Great Egrets and Great Blue Herons has gone from about fifteen to two. The Mergansers are gone. The good new is the Osprey pair is on the nest so hopefully there will be fledglings next time I go back in late summer.
