I found this stump in the woods, chopped off about four feet of it, wrapped around some ivy, and set it down near the feeders. I then set up my hide and waited for the birds to get comfortable with their new food source. Sitting in the hide helps somewhat but when they land on the stump they can sense me there and will only sit for an instant. More often than not I’ll miss the moment.
