Pelicans are a blast to photograph. They’re large and not afraid of humans so it’s relatively easy to get frame filling shots. They’re animated, graceful flyers, and really beautiful, in a prehistoric kind of way. Fossil evidence of Pelicans dates back at least 30 million years. These were all shot off Anna Maria island on the Gulf coast of Florida.
